PORT GATE SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING PORT GATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a port gate system by which processing at a gate of a port terminal can be accurately and quickly performed. SOLUTION: This port gate system 10 for managing incomings and outgoings of cargoes to/from the port terminal is provided with a customs information database 22 for storing the container number of a container for loading cargoes to be exported/imported and customs information showing whether or not customs permission is received with respect to cargos export and import while correlating the container number with the customs information, the gate 30 installed at the entrance of the port terminal, a container number reading means 31 provided at the gate 30 and also for reading a container number, and a gate controlling means 21 for extracting the customs information correlated with the container number read by the reading means 31 from the database 22 and controlling the gate 30 so as to make the cargoes pass through when the customs permission is received with respect to the export/import the cargos loaded in the container.
