<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the bypass route designing method of a communication network capable of shortening the flooding time of the constraint of a failure notification message transferring time to each node, executing high speed service restoration, and minimizing the capacity in terms of the preliminary wavelength number. SOLUTION: In this bypass route designing method of a communication network, bypass route information is preliminarily set in each node of a communication network constituted by connecting a plurality of nodes, and when any mono-link failure or a mono-node failure is generated, the failure detection node transfers a failure notification message including defective part information to each node, and the nodes which receive the failure notification message switch the routes in parallel. The bypass route on which the failure notification message transfer time from the failure detection node is the minimum is retrieved, and the retrieved bypass route on which the message transfer time is the minimum is updated to the bypass route on which an auxiliary communication capacity can be shared against different failures, and on which the route switching is made available within the upper limit of applied time.</p> |
