摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor realizing high image quality recording whose resolution is >=1,200 dpi and eliminating an image defect such as an interference fringe pattern (moire) by setting the surface roughness of a conductive supporting body to a specified range, and an image forming method using the same. SOLUTION: In the high-resolution recording where a laser beam diameter is set to be small, an image where the moire (interference fringe) is not caused is uniformly and stably obtained by applying uniform and appropriate ruggedness (Rmax) on the surface of the conductive supporting body 11. An Sm value expressing the repeating interval of the shape of an outer peripheral worked surface is related to the density of the ruggedness and the scattering efficiency of a laser reflected beam. When the Rmax and the Sm satisfy the relation of a specified expression, the image where the moire (interference fringe) is not caused is uniformly and stably obtained even in the process of the high resolution being >=1,200 dpi.
