PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that toner images cannot be transferred to both the faces of an image forming body without inverting the charge polarity of wet toner. SOLUTION: After transferring a toner image formed on one image carrier 54a out of two image carriers 54a, 54b to one face of an image forming body 67, the transferred toner image is exposed to corona discharge to temporarily fix the toner image on the image forming body 67 and then a toner image formed on the other image carrier 54b is transferred to the other face of the image forming body 67.
