PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a heat developing device capable of shortening its rising time and also performing the consecutive heat developing processing of a heat developable sheet under stable temperature gradient. SOLUTION: In this heat developing device 21 for performing development by heating the heat developable sheet A on which a latent image is formed by exposure while carrying the sheet A in the device, a heat developing part IV is equipped with a heating means 37 for heating the sheet A, a pressing roller 38 arranged to face the heating means 37 and comprising several roller groups for pressing the sheet A to the heating means 37, and a temperature control means 39 for warming the roller 38 to specified temperature.
