PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitter that can transmit attached data such as control data to an opposite transmitter, without reducing the transmission efficiency of main data. SOLUTION: The transmitter that transmits private data by the MPEG 2 multiplex system, is provided with data processing sections 14 (24) that selects private data, designates a specific PID to a transmission TS packet and maps attached data to a stream with the specific PID, when transmitting predetermined attached data and the transmitter transmits optional information, other than the main data. |
