PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte having high conductivity and superior thermal stability and oxidation stability, and a battery using the same. SOLUTION: A rolled electrode 20 having a band positive electrode 21 and a negative electrode 22 rolled via a separator 23 is provided in a battery can 11. The separator 23 is impregnated with the electrolyte. The electrolyte contains a solvent and a lithium salt dissolved in the solvent and additionally contains as an additive an aluminum compound or a compound to be adsorbed to aluminum. The aluminum compound is lithium aluminate, aluminium- acetylacetate or aluminum lithium hydroxide and the compound to be adsorbed to aluminum is aluminon or the like. Thus, the stability can be improved while maintaining high conductivity of the electrolyte and battery properties including cycle property, high-temperature property and storage stability can be improved. |
