PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for processing image to enable recording with high image quality which is visually more favorable and with excellent resolution and gradation and to provide an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: Whether or not an inputted density value of image data to be inputted is >=n1 is judged in a step s1. When the inputted density value is >=n1, a processing is proceeded to a step s2 and when the inputted density value is <n1, the processing is proceeded to a step 4. Whether or not the inputted density value is <=n2 is judged in the step s2. When the inputted density value is <=n2, the processing is proceeded to a step s3 and when the inputted density value is >n2, the processing is proceeded to the step s4. Noise is superimposed on the image data by a noise superimposition processing part in the step s3 and in this case, the noise is superimposed on a range of the inputted density value with the inputted density value more than double the amplitude of the noise. A halftone output gradation processing is performed in the step s4. |
