PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for collecting a garbage in the district in which a collection station can easily collect garbage in a prescribed area and garbage can be reused, and a collecting device that is used for the system for collecting a garbage in the district. SOLUTION: This garbage collection system for collecting garbage in the prescribed district, is provided with (a) the collecting device which is provided at the collection station in the region and collects garbage and (b) a transmitting means which is connected to a public line and transmits information as to whether or not garbage can be thrown in the collecting device. The collecting device is used in the garbage collection system in the district.
