PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the cleaning of grains of small diameters or spherical grains and the cleaning of peripheral parts of fine projected parts formed on the surface of a moving body. SOLUTION: The cleaning device for cleaning image forming grains 2 left on the surface of the moving body 1 to be circularly moved is provided with an elastic cleaning member consisting of a plate-like elastic member partially fixed and allowed to come into contact with the moving body 1 and capable of deforming the shape of its contact part in accordance with the movement/stop of the moving body 1 and a non-deformed cleaning member 4 consisting of a plate-like member partially fixed and allowing a free end to come into contact with the moving body 1 and capable of holding the shape of the contact part in a non-deformed state independently of the movement/stop of the moving body 1 or provided with plural non-deformed cleaning members 5, 6 consisting of plate-like members partially fixed and allowing free ends to come into contact with the moving body 1 and capable of holding the shape of the contact part in the non-deformed state independently of the movement/stop of the moving body 1.
