PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcasting receiver capable of smoothly utilizing many programs even in the digital broadcasting receiver having only a program memory with limited capacity, a downloading method in the digital broadcasting receiver and a storage medium. SOLUTION: The system controller 17 of the digital broadcasting receiver discriminates whether or not a program code extracted from a digital broadcast signal is a program code for the receiver, detects whether or not capacity that can store the program code exists in a program memory 15, discriminates a program code to be discarded, stores download information including broadcasting time and channel in a nonvolatile memory 16 in the case the program code to be discarded has downloadable information again, makes a reservation for downloading based on the download information and performs control that performs downloading based on the reservation.
