mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rotor manufacturing processes and it can be used for balancing rotors of machines, for instance, centrifugal pumps and compressors. Proposed method comes to measuring unbalance and eliminating it by adding corrective mass. Preliminarily prepared ring is fitted on rotor shaft. center of external surface of ring is displaced relative to center of shaft surface by value equivalent to measured unbalance of rotor, with orientation of displacement to side opposite to direction of vector of measured unbalance.
