PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To input Japanese in a Japanese input form on a WWW page via the Internet even if a client side terminal does not load Japanese conversion software or a font loaded for picture display does not include an external character. SOLUTION: The client side terminal and a server 3 are connected via a network. The client side terminal is provided with a data input means inputting Roman character data corresponding to a Japanese character string, a transmission means transmitting the inputted Roman character data to the server 3, a reception means receiving character picture data and a display means displaying received character picture data. The server 3 is provided with a reception means receiving Japanese data from the client side terminal, a Japanese picture conversion means 11 generating character picture data on the Japanese character string, which corresponds to received Roman character data, and a transmission means transmitting character picture data to the client side terminal. |
