PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an OADM(optical add drop multiplexer) system that can reduce the circuit scale and number of components. SOLUTION: An optical level calculation section 2 calculates an optical power of each wavelength of a passing wavelength multiplex signal, on the basis of the outputs from an input level monitor 3, a network information section 4 and an insertion loss information section 5 to obtain an optimum level of an insertion signal. Then an optical level control section 1 controls the power of the insertion optical signal to be an optimum level, on the basis of the result of calculation to multiplex the passing wavelength multiplex signal with the inserted optical signal. |
