PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device in which optimum laser powers are set for a recording process and a reproducing process, respectively, by solving the problem that the resolution of an adjustment of the laser power at the reproducing process becomes relatively course. SOLUTION: A polygonal type amplifier circuit 16, which converts the gain into a lower level when the set voltage 28 of the laser power is not higher than a reference voltage 29 and into a higher level of gain when the set voltage 28 is equal to or higher than the reference voltage 29, is provided. The resolution of the adjustment of the laser power is made possible by using a lower gain region in the reproducing process and the high output of the laser power is made possible by using a high gain region in the recording process, thus the optimum laser power control is performed. |
