PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a field editing device capable of editing a field in the file of arbitrary data format. SOLUTION: The field editing device 1 is provided with a hexadecimal display means 11 for reading an editing object file being the object of field editing and hexadecimally displaying editing object data recorded in this editing object file, a field dividing means 12 for dividing these hexadecimally displayed editing object data into fields, a field extracting means 13 for extracting a designated field out of the fields divided by the field dividing means 12, and a data converting means 14 for converting the data format of a designated field in the fields extracted by the field extracting means 13.
