PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably connect coated wires to each other by changing vibration conditions of ultrasonic vibration between fusion of insulating material and junction of conductors to each other in welding crossing parts of coated wires to each other by ultrasonic vibration. SOLUTION: The crossing part C of the coated wires 20 and 21 is held between a horn side chip 11 and an anvil side chip 12 to be pressurized (a holding and pressurizing process). To the horn side chip 11, ultrasonic vibration force decided based on first vibration conditions is applied to fuse insulating material 20a and 21a of the coated wires 20 and 21 (an insulating material fusing process). Timing when the conductors 20b and 21b of the coated wires 20 and 21 get in contact with each other as the insulating material 20a and 21a is fused is automatically detected (a conductor contact detecting process). After the conductors get in contact with each other, ultrasonic vibration force decided based on second vibration conditions is added to the horn side chip 11, thereby the conductors 20b and 21b are connected to each other (a conductor junction process). |
