PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lever fitting type connector capable of miniaturizing the whole connector while ensuring a rotation operation amount of a lever sufficiently, changing the direction of attaching the lever arbitrarily in the direction of width, and reducing a wall thickness of the whole connector to miniaturize it further. SOLUTION: In this lever fitting type connector 10 provided with both connectors 20, 30 fitted mutually and the lever 40 provided between both of these connectors 20 and 30 and converting an operation force applied to an operation part 43 into a fitting force between both connectors 20 and 30, the lever 40 is supported on the connector 20 on one side turnably, an engaging part 60 engaged with the lever 40 is provided in the connector 30 on the other side, a rising mechanism 50 raising the lever 40 when both connectors 20, 30 are temporarily fitted is provided between the lever 40 and the connector 30 on the other side, and an operation force is applied to the operation part 43 while the lever 40 rises to fit both connectors 20, 30 actually and ensure a large rotation amount of the lever 40.
