PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for shortening starting time of a system by starting the system without waiting for spin up of all hard disks. SOLUTION: In the system for successively spinning up the hard disks when a computer system is started, the starting time of the system is shortened by setting or automatically deciding minimum required hard disks for starting the system and spinning up them according to decided priority.
