The real-time recording and reporting system for a vehicle is either located on the vehicle or remote from the vehicle. The equipment comprises operation sensors that record the operation of the vehicle in the form a recording signal. These recording signals can be saved in a memory module, which is securely enclosed in a housing within the vehicle. The housing protects to the memory from unauthorized access and from physical damage. A processor is also provided to automate remote control for assessing vehicle function, operator function or physical condition. Finally, a transmitter means is set to receive the recording signal and transmit it in real-time to a redundant remote storage unit.
