PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter which enables prevention of its converter from a protective stop by DC overvoltage, without adding an apparatus which is not used in normal operation and without using components which have specifications exceeding those of normal operation. SOLUTION: This is a power converter which is connected to an AC voltage system 5 and is provided with current control circuits 11, 12, which perform feedback control of active current and reactive current individually. The active current control circuit 11 is formed, so as to change a control gain for active current according to a detected active current value, or the deviation of the detected active current value from an active current command value. |
