PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten paper retaining time in a machine and to largely improve throughput in image forming processing without causing trouble such as the deformation or the breakage of the paper and the faulty arrangement of the paper on a tray after ejecting the paper. SOLUTION: In such constitution that the paper is carried out to the outside of the machine from a paper ejection part after it is carried to a latent image forming drum 18 so that an image may be formed by an image forming means, paper carrying speed is increased or decreased so that the paper may be carried at higher paper carrying speed than paper carrying speed near the drum 18 on a carrying path through which the paper is carried to the drum 18 or a carrying path through which the paper is carried out from the drum 18.
