PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably separate a carrier band from a lead terminal. SOLUTION: The lead terminal 2 is cut by a cutting blade 6 while the lead terminal 2 is being retained by a retention means 4. After the cutting, the carrier band 3 is pressed by a press means 7 when the carrier band 3 remains in the lead terminal 2, thus separating the carrier band 3 from the lead terminal 2.
