PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data reproducing device for allowing a user to easily select an undesired DVD(digital video disc), and to prevent this DVD from being reproduced. SOLUTION: The data reproducing device is provided with a disk changer 100 for successively transferring a DVD600 to a reproducing position, a reproduction control part 500 for allowing the disk changer 100 to operate based on a disk switching commandαinputted through a disk changeover switch 410, and a disk number memory 511 for storing the disk number of a DVD whose reproduction is not desired from the DVD600. When a disk number 411 and an on/off key 421 are simultaneously depressed, the reproduction control part 500 allows the memory 511 to store the DVD whose reproduction is not desired as the disk number, and when the disk switching commandαis inputted, the reproduction control part 500 reads it from the memory 511, and when the disk number is made coincident with the disk number indicated by the disk switching commandα, the reproduction control part 500 invalidates the disk switching commandα.
