PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To write a system control program in a flash memory by storing the system control programs to be written in the flash memory and a rewrite control program for performing control to write the program in the flash memory in a RAM and by performing the rewrite control program stored in the RAM. SOLUTION: In this firmware rewrite system for rewriting firmware of electronic equipment, the flash memory for storing the system control program that controls the electronic equipment and the RAM for storing the system control program and a write control program for performing control to write the programs in the flash memory are provided, the system control program and the write control program are stored in the RAM through a JTAG interface, and the system control program is written in the flash memory by performing the write control program stored in the RAM.
