PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program video recording controller capable of controlling video recording by using an acquired program table without reworking a program table server at all and a processing program for making a computer perform a program video recording controlling method. SOLUTION: This video recording controller 201 analyzes program information received from an information provider 12 according to prescribed algorithm, reconstructs the program information by attaching a video recording command of a prescribed format to the program information, displays the reconstructed program information in response to a user request, receives a program desired to be subjected to video recording, and when the user inputs a desire that the user performs video recording of a prescribed program, transmits a video recording command of the prescribed program to an external video recorder 301 or controls an internal video recording means by using the video recording command.
