PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcasting receiver capable of storing the data of two program tables in a memory with small memory usage quantity. SOLUTION: Digital broadcast waves are received and demodulated by a tuner 2 to be a first transport stream (hereinafter described as TS) and given to a first demultiplexer 6A. A second TS is reproduced by a stream recording/ reproducing part 3 in the receiver or inputted by an IEEE1394 interface 5 from the outside. Additional information attached to the TS is subjected to multiplex processing to be given to a CPU 17, and a program guide is displayed on a screen by processing of the CPU 17 and an OSD circuit 19. Either the additional information of the first TS or the additional information of the second TS is stored in a memory 18 as it is, but the other is made to be compressed data on the basis on difference from the one and subsequently stored in the memory 18.
