The motor vehicle wheel and tyre pressure monitor has a tyre with an outer envelope (3) mounted on the rim. There in an inner envelope (5) at the base of the rim (2) to form a reserve of pressurized air. There is an actuator (6) to allow passage of air from the inner envelope to the outer to inflate the latter. A second actuator in the external envelope allows its deflation. The tyre pressure can be provided by a pump actuated by acceleration and deceleration movements of the wheel
