PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery capable of improving the characteristics by specifying a composition ratio of a negative electrode binder. SOLUTION: A negative electrode 22 has a negative electrode mix layer 22b composed of a negative electrode material, capable of occluding and removing lithium, a binding agent mainly composed of a styrene-butadiene copolymer, and a thickener composed mainly of a cellulose derivative. A composition ratio is defined, in such manner that a ratio of the binding agent to the negative electrode mix is 0.5 mass % or more to 4 mass % or less, a ratio of (weight ratio of binding agent to negative electrode mix)/(specific surface area of negative electrode material) is 0.25 or more to 4 or less, and the weight ratio of the thickener to the weight of the binding agent is 1/3 or more to 2 or less. Whereby the negative electrode mix is provided with proper viscosity, and the negative electrode material can be bound in the desired condition. |
