<p>An antireflection film comprising a transparent substrate, at least one high-refractive index layer having a refractive index higher by 0.05 to 1.5 than that of the transparent substrate, and a low-refractive index layer having a refractive index lower by 0.05 to 2.0 than that of the high-refractive index layer is characterized in that the high-refractive index layer contains matting grains of an average size of 0.3 to 20 νm, and the film has a haze of 10 % or less. This antireflection film has a low reflectance, is clear, has a surface of little whiteness and causes hard by interference coloring. Therefore it can be preferably used not only in an image display device such as a cathode-ray tube display device (CRT), a plasma display panel (PDP) or a liquid crystal display device (LCD) but also in a polarization plate.</p> |
