Treatment of incorrect vision by laser surgery on the human eye with common markings on the cornea for profile measurement and software-controlled laser tissue removal to achieve precise control

Refractive laser-surgery system has measurement means for measuring the surface of the cornea and a laser unit for point- wise program controlled removal of the cornea. Software is used to determine the amount of cornea to remove and the resultant profile based on cornea surface measurements and target input. The cornea is marked with a marking tool to show areas to remove. Coupling between the laser tool coordinate system and the measurement system is due to them both using the same markings.
