The braking system (10) has at least one foot (29) having a substantially flat foot surface provided to engage the ground by friction. The foot (29) is connected to an operating mechanism (30) moveable between a raised position in which the foot (29) is raised clear of the ground contacting plane of the wheels of the vehicle, and a lowered position in which the foot (29) contacts the ground to act as a brake for the vehicle.</p> |
