The device has a reversible belt drive motor for controlling the direction of rotation of the belt in a forward and reverse direction, and a device for removing raw material arranged on one side in the reverse direction of the belt. During normal operation the belt rotates in the forward direction. During removal of the raw material found on the belt and in the raw material container the belt rotates in the reverse direction.
