The computer has a case in which a keyboard (6) is arranged, and a foldable lid in which a monitor is arranged. The keyboard has a rest position, and can be pivoted from the rest position into the field of view of the user. The keyboard can be pivoted vertically and/or horizontally. The keyboard may be segmented, each segment being pivoted.
