The invention relates to a culture chamber comprising two compartments which are separated by a biological medium and which can be used to culture nerve cells and target cells on either side thereof. The invention also relates to methods for preparing one such chamber and to methods for obtaining reconstructed biological tissue, in particular reconstructed biological tissue which comprises at least two cell types, one of said types being nerve cells, and which can be used to measure parameters such as the toxicity, therapeutic effect or cosmetic effect of test compounds. Moreover, the invention relates to the tools and kits used to carry out said methods.
