This invention describes a device for automatically resetting the emergency brake on trains, which allows the railway staff to maintains control over th e train, above all in critical situations, so that the said train can be moved far enough to bring it out of a tunnel or a dangerous situation. The device essentially comprises a handle (11) designed to control the brake, a rotary plate (18), designed to rotate under the control of the handle and a couple of levers, a main piston (10) which slides inside a couple of chambers designed to realise the automatic resetting of the brake, a tank (2) for storing the air to be used for resetting the device after its activation connected to th e main conduit (100) which is used to stop the train, and resetting and monitoring means (16).
