Polyester compositions contain the following components: (a) a polyester which contains the radicals of an α,#-ethylenically unsaturated dicarboxylic acid, of a completely or partly hydrogenated o-phthalic acid or an endomethylene and/or chloro-derivative thereof and of 1,2- propylene glycol; (b) an N,N-bis-(hydroxyalkyl)-arylamine, which arylamine is incorporated, by cocondensation, into a saturated or unsaturated polyester (which may be polyester (a) above); and (c) a copolymerizable unsaturated monomeric compound. In the examples the compositions contain polyesters derived from 1,2-propylene glycol, maleic anhydride, ophthalic anhydride, tetrahydro-o-phthalic anhydride and hexahydrophthalic acid, hydroquinone, 2,5-dibutyl quinone, copper naphthenate, styrene, di-tert-butyl quinone and an amine accelerator prepared from N,N-bis(#-hydroxyethyl)-p-toluidine and phthalic anhydride and cured using benzoyl peroxide. |
