[Also in Division C3] In Example 5 solutions in ethyl acetate or xylene/ethylene glycol monoethyl ether of products obtained by telomerising methyl acrylate in the presence of various diisocyanates are painted onto glass and reacted in the presence of zinc octoate and dimethylbenzlyamine to form light resistant, crosslinked polyurea lacquers which dry in air. In Example 20 a mixture of butyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate and styrene is telomerised in the presence of various high molecular weight NCO group-containing condensation polymers, and the products are dissolved in ethyl acetate/xylene, painted on glass, wood, paper or fabrics, and reacted in the presence of zinc octoate to produce crosslinked elastic lacquer coatings. |
