PURPOSE: Provided is a white, biaxially oriented film made from a crystallizable thermoplastic resin with high whiteness and other functionality, the thickness of the film being in the range from 10 to 500 micrometers. CONSTITUTION: The white, biaxially oriented film with a thickness in the range from 10 to 500 micrometers, which has at least one other functionality, comprises at least one crystallizable thermoplastic resin as a main constituent, and comprises at least one rutile-type titanium dioxide as white pigment and at least one optical brightener, with or without other additives. The crystallizable thermoplastic is polyethylene terephthalate, polybutylene terephthalate, polyethylene naphthalate, dibenzoyl-modified polyethylene terephthalate, or their mixture. |
