The fixture for the anchoring of a seat (10) to the floor of a vehicle has a longitudinally extending metal rail (26) which cross sectionally has an undercut section for the guiding of a slide (50). The slide has an elongated pair of rigidly interconnected strip elements which have a sliding component made of plastic for guiding in the undercut section of the rail. The sliding component is installed on the end of the slide, and preferably one on both ends. The slide component is in the form of a channel profile, the sides of which grip over the longitudinal edges of the associated strip element.
