The tap has an outer housing (1) of thin-walled material of two connected detachable shells, and an internal tap body (10). The shells (2) are fastened to each other so that one shell can be removed without a tool while the tap is in use. A special tool (17) for assembly work on the tap is contained within the housing, and is accessible after the shell has been removed. The special tool has a spring bracket (18) for positive fastening to the tap body.
