The invention relates to an optical instrument, especially an endoscopic instrument, comprising a housing (1) in which at least one optical system (2) and a hygroscopic substance are disposed, an eyepiece cup (6) being detachably secured to the housing (1). The aim of the invention is to provide an optical instrument of this type which is characterized in that the hygroscopic substance can be simply and safely integrated into the housing (2).
