The invention relates to the gas and oil extraction industry and can be used for developing oil and gas-condensate fields. The inventive method for developing a hydrocarbon reservoir consists in extracting a hydrocarbon-containing fluid from not less than one producing well, separating a gaseous mixture or the part thereof from the fluid and injecting gas through a pressure well. The separated gaseous mixture or the part thereof is burned in a power plant using air as an oxidiser, thereby producing affluent gases containing nitrogen and carbon dioxide. The air used as the oxidiser and the separated gaseous mixture are mixed thereby, producing a gas-air mixture. Said gas-air mixture is compressed and ignited during or after the compression thereof. In the second variant, the air used as the oxidiser and the separated gaseous mixture are compressed and mixed, thereby producing a gas-air mixture during or after the ignition thereof. In both variants of the method, the affluent gases are compressed and used as an injected gas.
