The invention relates to a system for providing lukewarm sanitary water which is devoid of active pathogenic germs, especially to supply a shower (5) using a public distribution network for cold drinking water (1). Said system comprises a boiler (2) for heating the drinking water up to a temperature (T2) which is higher than the lethal temperature for the germs which are to be eliminated; a first heat exchanger (3) which can cool water coming from the boiler in order to bring the temperature down to a temperature (T1) which is substantially lower than the above-mentioned temperature (T2), but which is still higher than the temperature for using said shower, a demand temperature-moderating device (4) which comprises fitting elements (41) which are associated with a second heat exchanger (40) which can cool the water coming from the first heat exchanger (3) in order to bring the temperature (T1) down to user temperature and in order to supply the shower (5) according to each demand emanating from the user, said first and second exchangers (3, 4) also being able to cool the water which circulates by means of cold water which is taken from the public distribution network (1) without any contact or mixing between the cooling water and the water which is to be cooled. The invention can be used to distribute healthy sanitation water.
