In a spinning machine with a drafting arrangement (1), a condensing device (3) and a spinning device (5) for a fiber structure (71) each, with several such devices being disposed adjacent to one another in a spinning machine, and with a condensing element (31) with the condensing device (3), with a stationary suction element (37) being assigned to the condensing element (31) for discharging the air entering the suction element (37) through the condensing element (31), the suction element consists of a housing (37.1) and an insert (37.2), with the latter being displaceable with respect to the housing (37.1) along a guide means (44a, 44c, 44b) and being arrestable with respect to the housing (37.1).
