<p>A machine-translation apparatus uses a word dictionary containing entry words to each of which a synonym label indicating which synonym group the entry word belongs to and a translated word level indicating the difficulty of expression in the same synonym group are imparted. An original sentence is ordinarily analyzed using the word dictionary, a concept structure is made, a default translated word is determined, the dictionary is re-consulted according to the level of the determined translated word, the default translated word is converted to a translated word of a specified level, and thus a translated sentence is made.</p> |
