Compositions for detecting a skin-aging factor and a method of detecting the skin-aging factor by using these compositions. More particularly, compositions whereby gelatinase can be easily detected; a method of detecting the same which is applicable to the research and development of cosmetics for preventing skin aging, etc.; and a method of evaluating the skin for cosmetic purposes. A method whereby the skin aging factor can be noninvasively and very easily detected from the outside by using a film made of a hydrophilic binder containing colloidal silver.
