PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an equipment and a method for treating dye waste liquid for making performing a dye test performable in a ordinary office, etc., where equipment for treating dye wastewater is not provided. SOLUTION: The dye waste liquid waste liquid treatment equipment is provided with at least a waste liquid tank, an ultrafiltration membrane or/and a reverse osmosis module, and concentrated waste liquid from the ultrafiltration membrane or/and the reverse osmosis module can be returned to the waste liquid tank, and a dyeing device in which the dye waste liquid treatment equipment is incorporated is used. In addition, the dye waste liquid is concentrated by the dye waste liquid treatment equipment not less than three times and the obtained concentrated waste liquid is absorbed with a highly water- absorbable resin, thereby, the concentrated waste liquid is treated without being discharged to a drainage.
