PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulating structure for the lid part of an electric pot increasing the heat-insulating effect of a lid by forming a vacuum heat insulating member over the entire lower surface of either the lower or upper plate of the lid. SOLUTION: The lid part includes an upper lid member made from synthetic resin for forming an outer peripheral surface, a lower lid member made from synthetic resin for forming an inner peripheral surface, a metallic inner lid member positioned inside the lower lid member, and a steam passage communicating the inside to the outside. The lower lid member is formed with a recess part and the inner surface of the recess part is surface treated with a material containing metals. Heat insulating materials including Si are filled and an opening is closed with a resin member. The inside of the electric pot is evacuated to form the vacuum heat insulating member.
