<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing volatile organic compounds(VOC) which can improve its capability for removing the compounds and an apparatus for the method. SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 for removing VOC in exhaust gas has a gas- liquid contact column 2 in which the exhaust gas is contacted with an absorption liquid 7 containing polyethylene glycol, an absorption liquid introduction line 9 for introducing the absorption liquid 7 into the column 2, a pump 10 installed in the line 9, a gas introduction line 4 for introducing the exhaust gas into the column 2, and a blower 5 installed in the line 4. When the absorption liquid 7 is introduced into the column 2 via the line 9 by the pump 10, and the exhaust gas is introduced into the column 2 via the line 4, the exhaust gas is brought into contact with the absorption liquid 7, and VOC is absorbed by the absorption liquid 7. Even when the exhaust gas is saturated with water, VOC in the exhaust is removed sufficiently.</p> |
